Dysmeorrhoea is the term used to describe unbearable menstrual cramps. Regular menstrual pains caused before or during the first couple of days in the menstrual cycle is known as primary dysmenorrhea. Pain caused due to the occurance of endometriosis or fibroids is known as secondary dysmenorrhea.
Primary Dysmenorrhoea
In this situation, the uterus works harder than normal to break down its lining resulting in contractions that lead to pain.
